A community project for residents of London’s Wembley Park, The Yellow was an interesting design challenge. With a tight budget but a selection of materials in hand, we used an imaginative approach to create a lively, versatile space that’s bursting with visual impact. We played with rich colours and bold signage to add warmth to the building while using exposed pipework and lighting tracks to deliver a bold, industrial feel to help foster creativity among those using the space. It’s an ultra-contemporary reimagining of the traditional village hall.
