Madison is all about looking into yourself – about health, wellbeing and protection. About fresh air and inner calm. This is delivered through clean, simple design, with timeless, mid-century modern influences that embody clutter-free living.
A sense of calm and precision flows throughout Madison. With a gym and nursery beneath it, Wembley Stadium on one side and parkland on the other, the influences of health and family are deeply embedded.
The balance of heart and mind that Madison delivers can be felt the moment you walk into the super lobby. The space is very simple and precise – clean and clear. Large, circular ceiling lights deliver an overly bright, daylight feel that makes the space feel very fresh. Warmth and welcome are built up through textures and tiles, from the precision of the black and white chequered floor to the rich warmth of the deep blue lava stone tiles. The golden post boxes add a warm glow on the opposite side of the lobby.
The layout of the super lobby, like that of the other shared spaces within Madison, is both welcoming and functional. The welcome area with comfortable seating draws residents into the space, while the reception desk area on one side is counterbalance by the stairs up to the residents’ lounge on the other.
The residents’ lounge sits above super lobby, with timber panelling and handmade lava stone tiles creating a sense of connection and interaction between the two areas. Designed with a diverse range of uses in mind, the lounge delivers a variety of functional spaces, connected throughout by the warmth of the herringbone pattern timber floor.
The seating/breakout area that overlooks the lobby below is the ideal spot to sit and work privately, while also feeling connected to others. This sense of the space being individual yet inclusive echoes throughout Madison. In the residents’ lounge, the broken plan design facilitates this, all set against the backdrop of park views that deliver a feeling of wellbeing and connection with nature.
The lounge is home to areas of plush seating, a pool table, a coffee machine, a meeting room/work from home area, a TV room and more. Folding, sliding doors allow the space to be opened or closed up as required, ensuring it is both multifunctional and user-friendly. Residents can stop for a coffee and chat with neighbours or sit and work, either individually or in groups. The circular lights, meanwhile, have the feel of skylights.
The hallways connecting these communal areas are very clean and minimalist, reflecting the black and white tile patterned floor of the super lobby and the herringbone timber of the residents’ lounge for a textured feel. Wallpaper with a veneer timber pattern is complemented by mid-century modern lighting. Apartment corridors are warm and neutral, in grey and green tones. The feel is very Northern European, with mid-century modern colours complemented by birch tree wall patterns to add depth and interest.
That cosy, Northern European lifestyle flows throughout the individual apartments. Mid-century modern at their core, the apartments are simple and homely. Understated and precise, they feature clean, clear colours, reminiscent of the Northern Lights. The two colour palettes, one with dark timber and one with light, both feel warm and cosy, delivering a sense of enclosure and protection.
In the kitchens, there’s a sense of playfulness through texture, with vertical tiles leading up to the horizontal storage shelf that sits below the cupboards. These very controlled, precise lines are used creatively to add interest.
Madison’s apartments also use two colour palettes, one with darker tiles and one light. The chequered black and white floor of the super lobby is echoed in the bathrooms, while the circular mirror and sink echo the sense of circular togetherness that can be found throughout Madison. With lots of smooth edges, the bathrooms are very relaxed and simple.
Every element of Madison speaks to that sense of simplicity and cleanliness. Fresh, precise lines and uncluttered spaces provide the ideal environment for a healthy, wellbeing-focused lifestyle. Laidback, serene and timeless, the Madison is the ideal place for those who like to look inward and focus on their personal sense of peace.
