At Chastje in Latvia, we created an incredible educational, creative space to take children’s minds on an adventure. We transformed a huge barn into a multi-zoned space providing a journey through different worlds.
Chastje draws influences from magical adventures and journeys as diverse as Narnia, the Orient Express, Around the World in 80 Days and the eccentric, uniquely visual narrative films of Wes Anderson. Zones include interactive game and learning areas, a waterplay zone, an activity space, a cinema, a music room/studio, an arts and crafts area, a science lab, an interactive maze, a family zone and more. One of the highlights is the fully immersive rainbow tunnel, which runs between the family room and the activity zone. The walls and floor of the glass tunnel are all interactive, enveloping children within a magical travelling experience as they pass through the space.
The result of all of this is a world of mystery and discovery that invites an eagerness to learn and to enjoy every moment of the experience at Chastje.
