Beton

Every element of Beton was about creating impact. We wanted to deliver something bright, bold and exciting, but at the same time precise and sophisticated. Above all else, after leaving a drab and grey 2020 behind, we wanted to deliver a very timely sensation of hope.

Beton’s base palette was a monochromatic scheme of black, white and greys. We were working with some lovely natural materials – wood and huge swathes of concrete. Inspired by the pop art movement, we brought that base palette to life with some stunning pops of colour.

Key to the colour scheme were lemon and lime. We also used electric blues and bright, hopeful reds and oranges to breathe a sense of vibrancy and excitement into the apartments. In each apartment, we wanted to make the colours really jump out. We too them right to the border of unacceptable in terms of their visual contrast, just pulling back from the brink.

In addition to the colours, our focus was on the playful use of geometric patterns. From window dressings to tabletops, we complemented and contrasted to deliver sophisticated spaces for contemporary renters.

The simple precision of these bold, bright homes is really beautiful. Some of our favourite parts are some of the sleekest – the single lemon-yellow that delivers a pop of colour on the elegant grey sofa, or the delightful lime-green armchair that pairs perfectly with the black and white geometric print of the curtains.

By drawing on the inspiration of pop art, we’ve delivered apartments that reach out across the generations, connecting with all those with a sense of style to create exciting, timeless and, above all, hope-filled homes.
